Abstract: El presente trabajo pretende analizar la situación del sector eólico en España, intentando discernir en qué medida las energías renovables, y dentro de éstas la 
	energía eólica, deben formar parte, desde un punto de vista económico, del cambio energético que España debe acometer sin más dilación, y con qué implicaciones, tanto 
	positivas como negativas. Para ello partimos de las carencias del sector energético español y establecemos unos criterios bajo los que el decisor político debería 
	elaborar el nuevo mix energético. Concluimos explicando la necesidad de cambio tanto de la composición energética actual, como de la forma de fijación de los precios 
	eléctricos.
Abstract: This paper analyzes the situation of the Spanish wind power industry, trying to discern how the renewable energy, and among them wind power, should be part, from 
	an economic standpoint, of the energy change that Spain should undertake without delay, and the implications that would result, both positive and negative. To do 
	this, we start with the shortcomings of the Spanish energy sector and we establish criteria under which the policy makers should develop the new energy mix. We 
	conclude by explaining the need for change, the current energy mix and the way of pricing power.
